I was fortunate to train as a hypnotherapist at the Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis under the guidance of Terence Watts, who in 2018 entered the International Hypnosis Hall of Fame for his outstanding accomplishments in the hypnosis profession.

The Essex Institute, where I trained, is one of the few schools of hypnotherapy that has the legal right to call itself an ‘Institute’ after the UK government, based on, amongst other things, its excellence in the teaching of hypnotherapy.

I am trained in BWRT (Levels 1 and 2), and I have undertaken many professional development courses, including for hypnotherapy:

  • Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis)
  • Diploma in Psychosexual Dysfunction (Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis)
  • Practical Analysis and Regression (Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis)
  • Broadband for the Brain (Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis)
  • Smashing Depression (Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis)
  • WSN (Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis)
  • Serious work for serious issues (Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis)
  • Relationship Repair (Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis)
  • Using Hypnotherapy with children and young people (Hypnotherapy in Schools Programme)

For counselling:

  • Diploma in Integrative Counselling (Life-force centre, Colchester)
  • Primary Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Training (Centre for Stress management, London)
  • Primary Certificate in Stress Management (Centre for Stress management, London)

I am a member of various professional bodies and am therefore required to abide by strict codes of ethics and to undertake continued professional development to maintain and advance my professional knowledge.
